Ciclus’ Wine Case Lamp

My wife sent me this article from The Dieline, a package design blog.  The Dieline’s article was about a Spanish design firm’s work for a holiday gift for Spanish waste management and consulting form called Grupo Hera.  The design firm is called Ciclus, and the product they designed is a wine box that, once the wine bottle is removed, converts to a lamp.

The design is two layers, one with the wine, and the other with a lamp and pigtail.  The bottom compartment converts to the lamp base, and the top is the illuminating chamber.  The Dieline had a bunch of shots of the constructing of the lamp, so check this out:
