In Canada, We Work On American Thanksgiving!

For the first time in my life, Thanksgiving Day did not consist of turkey, stuffing, cranberry whatever, and pumpkin pie.  Know why?  American Thanksgiving 2012 is on Thursday, November 22, 2012; Canadian Thanksgiving was on October 8, 2012!  Ah, the sweet buzz of tryptophan.  Good times.

For those of you who had to work today too, let’s have a laugh!

Happy Thanksgiving, America!  I hope it was awesome!

Welcome Back, Post Turkey Day!

Good Morning!

I hope that all of JimOnLight’s readers had a great Thanksgiving, or at least had some good food over the holiday.  It doesn’t have to be turkey, of course…

Did you do something outrageous over the holiday?  My wife and I moved across town on Wednesday, and spent a majority of Thanksgiving day cleaning the old place and unpacking.  Were you on a cool gig, or did you work on something awesome?  Post in the comments!

Off-Light-Topic: Turkey Recipe

Prepare for Turkey Day – if you have a recipe that rocks the casbah, then obviously don’t change it!  However, if you’re looking for something awesome, check out Elise’s recipe for Roast Turkey.  Elise runs one of my most favorite non-lighting blogs, Simply Recipes.  She puts so much awesome stuff on there, and all of it looks good, all the time.

Thanks for the recipe, Elise!
