Will You Take A Moment to Donate to JimOnLight.com?

labcoat-jimonlight

Good morning, world!  I hope this finds you well, and I hope you woke up happy and healthy!

I’m very humbly writing this post to reach out to our extended Reader Family — Fox and I make JimOnLight.com for a world readership of 193 of the 196 independent countries across Earth, and we’ve covered things from the amazing to the mundane and everything in between over the last six years.  We’ve been growing full-speed every day ever since I wrote the very first JimOnLight post back in 2008!  I’m doing this full time now, and I’m reaching out into the digital international to ask a small but urgent question:

Will you take a few moments and donate to JimOnLight?

We’re not looking for tens of thousands of dollars, we’re just trying to raise between $7500 and $9900 to cover the costs of server space, maintenance, relocating, and allowing us to keep writing JimOnLight.com for you!

If you have a few extra bucks sitting around somewhere and want to help us out, click on the donate button just below here — it takes just a few seconds, and you can donate via credit card if you so desire, it costs you nothing!

We’ve also cut our advertising space costs over 65%, so if you’re a company wanting to get your wares seen in front of one of the top most dedicated readerships in all of the Lighting Industries, get ahold of Jim through email at [email protected] or the contact form, at jimonlight.com/contact.  We’ll look forward to your email!

Which Trade Shows Have You Done This Season?

I do a hell of a lot of trade shows, as you all know already because mostly I see a lot of you there, and I’m curious as to what the readers of JimOnLight.com do in your respective individual trade show seasons.  I’d love to know, so if’n you don’t mind, would you leave a comment on this post and let me know?  I’ll love you fo sho!

JOL Sunday Flickr

Oh yeah, installation #2 of the newly titled JOL Sunday Flickr!  I hope this has been a relaxing weekend for all of you who read this blog — and obviously those who don’t, but JOL readers rock and they get first preference in my heart!

Something awesome to check out:  Morgan Freeman narrating a series called Through the Wormhole.  This sh*t is awesome, I highly recommend it!  Laura has turned me on to the show (as well as to Ancient Aliens and Fatal Encounters
, which is a freaky but awesome show too), and I know that you’ll love it.  Get ready for brain explosion, this is some heavy stuff.

Check out this week’s JOL Sunday Flickr — lots of great shots!

PLASA 2012: Pick Up Your Face, It’s Over

Now that I’m back in North America AND I am all but caught up with sleep, I want to share some of my photos from the fun that was PLASA 2012 at Earl’s Court, right off the Earl’s Court tube stop and only a moment’s tube ride from a great Indian restaurant that really ended up hating about ten of us after a wild night of eating some delicious tandoori.  WHEW — that was a huge sentence!

It was a pretty busy show for me and for the CAST Group booth (Hall 1, E-27), but the load-in went smoothly, Steve and his guys from Intexco took really good care of us, and a big thanks to Mickey, Shane, and Paul for making our booth look outstanding!  I even got some carpenters to run cable and hang lighting fixtures!  Brilliant work, boys, and thanks again!

Let’s check out some of these photos — I tried to snap shots everywhere I went, so I have a bit of everything here and there!
